In Italy, Calderys owns two production sites at Cosseria (SV) and at Fiorano Modenese (MO).

At Cosseria plant the core business is the production of blends bentonite / coal dust to be used in cast iron foundries: this means mastering a wide portfolio of high-quality bentonites and foundry grade coals. Installed throughput is about 500 MT/day of finished products; storage capacity in raw materials in bulk is about 30.000 MT.
The constant attention to customer needs has led us to achieve very short delivery times (even less than 24 hours) and tailor-made formulations.

At Fiorano Modenese plant several types of refractories are produced: regular castables, MC, LC and ULC castables, self-flowing castables, gunning products, insulating castables and inject products. Installed throughput is about 14.000 MT/year in monolithics; moreover, the plant is equipped with a crushing tower which can process 9000 MT/year of material.

Both plants are ISO 9001:2015 certified. Cosseria plant is also ISO 45001:2018 and FAMI-QS certified.
